When everyone was with me, I was alone
Now when I ‘m alone, no one is with me
Treading along the long corridors of my life,
Many came to me with mud faces; mum thoughts
Interrupted by the footsteps heard, I turned back
And I found you; Solitude and you solaced me.
I was bound in my own world
No one around; no one beside
But you stepped in with a soothing smile.
Everything seemed to be dark and cold
Merrily I shared its silence with you.
When silent screams made me aloof
You taught me to laugh in grief.
And I say, you are the one I have now ‘for me’.
And you can hurt me, beat me and avoid me at times
But don’t depart………………….
For once I have been loved and then betrayed
and I have been lost and then found.
You know, I can’t stand any more agony.
